Sanadze has career-high 38, San Diego holds off Portland

SAN DIEGO (AP) Duda Sanadze had career-high 38 points as San Diego held off a late Portland rally to beat the Pilots 85-76 and stop a six-game skid on Saturday night.

Sanadze made 11 of 20 field goals, nailing six 3-pointers, and was 10 of 12 from the line to break the San Diego Div. I single-game scoring record. Vasa Pusica had 13 points and 11 rebounds and Brett Bailey added 12 points for San Diego (9-20, 4-14 West Coast Conference).

San Diego was up 60-47 after Sanadze hit a jumper midway in the second half. Portland's Bryce Pressley nailed a trey to start a 10-0 run and close to 60-57 with 7:17 left. Sanadze answered with a 3-pointer to start a 13-2 run for a 73-59 lead with 2:54 left.

Pressley was 12 of 19 from the floor and 9 of 11 from the line for a career-high 37 points for Portland (12-19, 6-12).
