Jeffrey Merritt scored all 12 of his points in the second half, and helped fuel a late rally that sent Samford to a 60-56 victory over Campbell Sunday in the final day of the Global Sports Hoops Showcase.

Campbell led 51-41 with 8:06 left, but didn't score another field goal until 22 seconds remained. Meanwhile, Merritt, Josh Bedwell and Andy King led the Bulldogs' barrage of 3-pointers to overtake the Camels. Samford shot 14 of 30 from 3-point range (46.7 percent).

That was part of a 16-1 run that gave Samford (3-2) a 57-52 lead with 28 seconds left.

Lorne Merthie led the Camels (2-3) with a season-high 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting, 4-of-4 from three-point range and 2-of-3 from the free-throw line. But he was Campbell's only threat; no other Camel scored in double figures.
