Saint Joseph's trails early, beats Fairfield 60-51

Langston Galloway scored 15 points, C.J. Aiken and Carl Jones added 13 apiece as Saint Joseph's came back to beat Fairfield 60-51 on Tuesday night.

The Hawks (2-2) trailed 25-19 at halftime after a 6-for-20 shooting performance (30 percent), but stormed back in the second half, outscoring the Stags 41-26.

Saint Joseph's came out firing after the break, shooting 15 for 22 from the floor (68.2 percent) as a team. The Hawks also shot 16 of 21 from the free-throw line (76.2 percent), including 11 for 15 (73.3 percent) in the second half.

Fairfield shot 20 for 56 from the floor (35.7 percent) and was outscored in the paint 34-26.

Warren Edney scored 16 points to lead the Stags (1-3), while Derek Needham, 11, was the only other player to score in double figures for Fairfield. Ryan Olander grabbed a game-high 11 rebounds for the Stags in the loss.
