Shane Gibson led Sacred Heart with 22 points and seven rebounds, propelling the Pioneers to an 84-79 win over Lafayette on Sunday.

Chris Evans added 16 points and Stan Dulaire 15 for the Pioneers (6-6), who snapped a three-game losing slide ahead of a trip to Notre Dame next Monday.

Sacred Heart trailed Lafayette 33-29 at the break, but rallied in the second half to take an 11-point advantage with 6:13 left and held on to seal the win.

The Pioneers outrebounded the Leopards 37-30, outscored them 30-14 in the paint and cashed in 23 points off 17 Leopards turnovers. Sacred Heart's bench outscored Lafayette's 35-16.

Jim Mower led the Leopards (4-6), who were coming off a 61-57 win at in-state rival Penn State, with a game-high 24 points. Seth Hinrichs added 17 points, Ryan Willen 12 and Rob Delaney 10.
