Jordan Dykstra had 23 points, eight rebounds and went 5 of 5 from 3-point range to lead South Dakota State to a 74-57 win against Western Illinois on Thursday night.
Taevaunn Prince scored 13 points and Nate Wolters 10 for the Jackrabbits (23-7, 14-3 Summit League), who will be the No. 2 seed for next week's conference tournament in Sioux Falls, S.D.
Tommie Tyler had 15 points and Obi Emigano 14 for the Leathernecks (14-13, 8-9), who could have clinched no worse than a No. 6 seed but fell into a sixth-place tie with Southern Utah in the Summit League standings. The Thunderbirds hold the tiebreaker due to winning both games between the schools this year.
South Dakota State won the rebounding battle 35-20 and outscored Western Illinois 30-20 in the paint.
Terell Parks had 12 points and seven rebounds for the Leathernecks.
