S. Dakota 99, N.J. Tech 84

Charlie Westbrook, Louie Krogman and Trevor Gruis scored 19 points each as South Dakota rolled past New Jersey Tech 99-84 on Thursday night.

The Coyotes (14-13, 5-4 Great West) never trailed and were ahead by as many as 21 points midway through the second half.

The Highlanders (13-13, 7-2) managed to tie it four times in the first half, including on a jumper by PJ Miller with three seconds left to make it 40-40 at halftime.

But South Dakota opened the second half with a 20-5 run and were never in danger again.

Isaiah Wilkerson and Lamar Kearse led the Highlanders with 18 points each while Sean McCarthy scored 15 and Miller finished with 13.

Jake Thomas and Westbrook pulled down a game-high nine rebounds apiece for the Coyotes, who grabbed a 48-34 advantage on the boards.
