UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) Rhode Island guard Jarvis Garrett has been taken off the floor of No. 21 URI's game with No. 24 Cincinnati on a stretcher and in a neck brace.
Garrett fell hard underneath his team's basket late in the first half of Saturday's game at the Hall of Fame Tip-Off tournament.
He appeared to hit his head on a cameraman on his way to the ground, snapping his neck back.
He lay on the floor being treated for several minutes, before walking under his own power to the stretcher.
