Rapheal Davis scored 24 points and  big man A.J. Hammons was two blocks shy of a triple-double in No. 18 Purdue's 82-81 overtime win over No. 8 Michigan State on Tuesday night.

When the two seniors entered the Purdue locker room, they were greeted by their teammates dumping water on them.

Despite using the 7-foot Hammons as a human shield, Davis still couldn't escape the celebratory shower.

The Boilermakers blew an 18-point lead against the Spartans in the second half. Michigan State's Denzel Valentine could not complete the comeback, as his fadeaway at the end of regulation was off the mark.

Hammons and Vince Edwards combined for nine of Purdue's points in overtime. Davis sunk the game-winning free throw with less than five seconds to play.

"I've been telling these guys since the summer I just want to beat Michigan State," Davis said. "I've never beat Michigan State. Playing Michigan State is like playing IU (Indiana) for me. It's a little bit more than playing IU for me."

Purdue has notched is second straight 20-win season.
