Ptasinski leads Lafayette past Princeton 83-66

EASTON, Pa. (AP) Joey Ptasinski scored 21 points and all five starters scored in double figures to help Lafayette beat Princeton 83-66 on Wednesday night.

Ptasinski made 8 of 10 field goals, including 5 of 7 3-pointers, for Lafayette (2-1), which shot 54.7 percent from the floor and 58.8 percent from beyond the arc.

Seth Hinrichs scored 19, Nick Lindner added 17 on 7-of-8 shooting, Dan Trist had 13 and Bryce Scott 12 for the Leopards, whose bench scored just one point.

Princeton's Pete Miller hit a jumper to make it 64-59 with 9:46 to play, but Ptasinski made a 3-pointer 18 seconds later, sparking a 19-7 run by Lafayette to close the game.

Spencer Weisz scored 19, Hans Brase 17 and Miller added 14 for Princeton (1-2), which made 21 of 42 field goals, including 10 of 19 from 3-point range, but couldn't overcome its 17 turnovers.
