Ian Hummer scored 17 points to lead five players in double figures as Princeton defeated Saint Joseph's 74-65 on Sunday.

Hummer, who is averaging a shooting percentage of 62.5, made 8 of 12 baskets against the Hawks.

Patrick Saunders chipped in 14 points, Douglas Davis had 12 and Dan Mavraides and Kareem Maddox had 10 apiece for the Tigers (5-3).

Princeton, which led 45-27 at halftime, shot 58.1 percent in the first half (18 of 31) and led by as many as 25 before halftime.

The Tigers then went 14 of 18 from the free-throw line in the second half (77.8 percent) to secure their third straight win.

The Tigers scored 16 points off 17 turnovers by Saint Joseph's (3-5).

Carl Jones led the Hawks with 24 points. St. Joseph's, which lost its third straight, also got 10 points from Ronald Roberts.
