Prarie View snaps 3-game skid with 69-61 victory

Prarie View A&M hit 7 of 17 3-pointers to defeat Alabama State 69-61 Saturday and snap a three-game losing streak.

Tim Meadows led the Panthers (6-15, 3-5 Southwestern Athletic) with 13 points. Brandon Webb and Trant Simpson added 11 points each, and Duwan Kornegay had nine points and eight rebounds.

Kenderek Washington had 16 points and eight rebounds for Alabama State (6-15, 3-5), which was just 4 for 26 on 3-point attempts and shot 30 percent overall from the field.

Ivory White added 11 points for the Hornets, who are now 1-12 in road games this season.
