Portland State game delayed due to snow

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP)An unexpected snow fall paralyzed Portland area freeways and has delayed the tip-off of the Portland State men's basketball game against Willamette University on Tuesday night.

Willamette was late in arriving for the contest from its location in Salem, about 30 miles south of Portland. Portland State officials pushed back the game's tip-off to 9:15 p.m. The game will was schedule to start at 5:05 p.m. but will face more than a four hour delay.

The men's game was scheduled to be the first of a doubleheader on the Portland State campus. The women's contest against Oregon State will still start as scheduled at 7:05 p.m.
