NORTHRIDGE, Calif. (AP) Portland State scored in bunches at the beginning of each half but the Vikings sleep-walked through the final 11 minutes before beating Cal State Northridge 61-55 on Wednesday night.

Tiegbe Bamba, with 18 points, scored a quick six as the Vikings (4-0 for the first time since 2008-09) surged out 10-4. Bamba also sparked a 9-2 run after halftime as PSU stretched an 11-point lead to 42-24 in about four-and-a-half minutes.

But the Vikings scored just one field goal in the final 11:32 and their unbeaten record was in jeopardy as the lead melted down to six, 57-51, with under a minute to go.

Bryce White, Tim Douglas and Gary Winston combined to sink 6 of 8 foul shots in the final 55 seconds.
