Plomb with 22 points, Army edges Lafayette 84-81 in OT
EASTON, Pa. (AP) Tanner Plomb scored 22 points including a pair of jumpers in overtime that helped Army edged Lafayette 84-81 on Wednesday night, snapping a four-game slide.
Army (13-10, 4-7 Patriot) trailed 77-75 in overtime when Plomb hit back-to-back jumpers to give his team a 79-77 edge with 1:39 to play. Dylan Cox followed with a 3-point play to extend the lead to 82-79 with 50 seconds left and Army led the rest of the way.
Kyle Wilson added 20 points for Army, Kevin Ferguson 17 and Cox 13.
Plomb also scored the final bucket for the Black Knights in regulation, giving Army a 70-68 lead with 13 seconds to go. Lafayette's Matt Klinewski tied it 70-70 on a jumper with four seconds remaining, sending the game into overtime.
Klinewski and Nick Lindner scored 15 points apiece for the Leopards (5-16, 2-8).
