Penn beats Marist 59-42

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Sam Jones scored a career-high 19 points, Greg Louis scored a career-high 13, and Penn beat Marist 59-42 on Tuesday night, handing the Red Foxes their fourth straight loss.

Louis grabbed a career-high nine rebounds, Matt Howard had four assists, and Darien Nelson-Henry had three steals for Penn (3-5).

Penn led 10-2 midway through the first half, then Jones, a freshman, hit a jumper and a 3-pointer, sparking a 14-4 run for a 24-6 Quakers lead. Jones scored 13 points in the half, including all three 3-pointers he attempted, Louis scored 10 points, and the Quakers outrebounded Marist 24-12.

Penn used a 10-2 run capped by a jumper by Antonio Woods to pull ahead 47-21, but was outshot 28-24 in the second half.

K.J. Lee scored 15 points, 11 in the second half, for Marist. The Red Foxes shot just 21.2 percent from the field.
