CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) Preston Parks scored a career-high 25 points, and the Citadel held on for a 92-97 win over South Carolina Upsate at the Holy City Hoops Classic.

Parks made five 3-pointers and scored or assisted on 10 of the final 12 points for The Citadel (6-3).

Trailing 86-85, Parks' fourth 3-pointer put the Bulldogs in front with 2:49 remaining, and he hit again on The Citadel's next possession to make it 91-86 with 2:05 left.

Deion Holmes' layup for the Spartans pulled it to 91-88, but SC Upstate missed its next three field goal attempts, and a pair free throws apiece from Parks and Kaelon Harris salted it way for the Bulldogs.
