Pacific nearly perfect at foul line with win over San Diego (Jan 11, 2018)

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) Miles Reynolds scored 17 points, Jack Williams scored 13 and Pacific defeated San Diego 74-70 on Thursday night.

Pacific shot (8-10, 3-2 West Coast Conference) shot just 36 percent (18 of 50) but only missed two of 35 foul shots. Reynolds made all nine of his free throws and Williams was 8 of 8 at the line. Jahlil Tripp and Roberto Gallinat each scored 10 for the Tigers and Pacific took care of the ball with only eight turnovers.

Isaiah Pineiro made a 3-pointer and a jumper in succession for the Toreros last lead, 39-38. Pacific took the lead for good with an 11-2 run as Tripp scored seven straight.

Isaiah Wright's layup with 5:53 left reduced the deficit to 51-46 but San Diego (12-4, 3-1) couldn't get closer. Pineiro scored 23 points, Tyler Williams finished with 20 and Wright, 13.
