Pacific defeats Pepperdine 76-66

STOCKTON, Calif. (AP) Sama Taku scored 18 points and Tony Gill added 17 as Pacific defeated Pepperdine 76-66 on Saturday night.

Amadi Udenyi's three-point play gave Pepperdine a 45-38 lead with 17:15 remaining. Pacific answered with a 14-0 run to take a 52-45 lead, and the Tigers led the rest of the way. Pepperdine would get within seven points, 68-61 on Malcolm Brooks' 3-pointer with 3:23 remaining. Khalil Kelley and Aaron Short both answered for Pacific, giving the Tigers a 72-61 lead with less than a minute to play.

Taku made seven of his 10 shots and had four assists. Gill was 7 of 13 from the field, including two 3-pointers. Andrew Bock added 12 points for Pacific (11-8, 2-6 West Coast Conference).

Brooks and Stacy Davis each scored 12 points to lead Pepperdine (12-10, 5-5). Udenyi added 11 points.
