Pacific 70, William Jessup 61

Sam Willard had 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead Pacific to a 70-61 victory over William Jessup on Saturday night.

It was Willard's fourth consecutive double-double to begin the season for the Tigers (3-1), who had a difficult time shaking the NAIA school until late in the game.

Allen Huddleston had 12 points, Terrell Smith had 11 points and seven rebounds and Jose Rivera also scored 11 for Pacific.

Eleazar Jones scored 15 points on five 3-pointers to lead William Jessup (2-4). Damal Neil had 13 points and six rebounds for the Warriors.

William Jessup, which led 32-28 at the half, had its final lead at 46-45 with 11:30 remaining to play before Pacific took control with a 21-4 run over the next seven minutes.
