Ross Rivera scored 19 points, 15 of them at the free-throw line, and Pacific held off UC Riverside 60-52 on Thursday night.

Rivera was just 2 of 7 from the field, but only missed one foul shot for the Tigers (8-13, 4-5 Big West). Lorenzo McCloud scored 14 points and Markus Duran added 11 for Pacific, which overcame 31 percent shooting with a 28 for 35 performance at the free-throw line. Travis Fulton had eight points, 10 rebounds and three steals.

Austin Quick led the Highlanders (10-12, 4-5) with 17 points - mostly on 3-pointers, which he made 5 in 7 tries. Phil Martin added 12 points and a team-high seven rebounds for Riverside, which led 35-30 with 13 minutes left before Pacific came back. The Tigers went ahead for good at 47-45 on Duran's layup with 6:59 to go.
