Overton takes over to lift Drexel by Lafayette 73-70

EASTON, Pa. (AP) Rodney Williams scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds and Miles Overton's go-ahead layup with 37 seconds left capped Drexel's comeback in a 73-70 win over Lafayette Wednesday night.

Lafayette's Nick Linder and Kyle Stout each missed 3s in the final seconds for a chance to tie.

Matt Klinewski put the Leopards up 40-24 on a jumper 30 seconds into the second half before Drexel (3-4) went on an 18-7 run and closed to 47-42 on Kurk Lee's layup with 12:31 remaining.

Klinewski responded with a basket and Paulius Zalys hit a 3 to put Lafayette (2-4) up by eight but the Dragons outscored Lafayette 29-18 to wrest the game away.

Overton hit a 3 to cut Drexel's deficit to 56-53 with 6:45 to go and buried another 3 with 2:21 left to bring the Dragons within 66-64. Overton finished with 12 points.

Linder finished with 21 points, Zalys added a season-high 16 points and Klinewski scored 11.
