Omaha beats Denver 69-55

DENVER (AP) Jake White scored a career-high 29 points on 10-of-13 shooting and grabbed nine rebounds to help Omaha beat Denver 69-55 on Thursday night.

White had four of Omaha's six straight points that stretched a six-point lead to 54-42 with 4:55 left. The Mavericks (13-7, 5-1 Summit) maintained a double-digit lead the rest of the way and stayed tied with IPFW atop the conference standings.

Tre'Shawn Thurman added 10 points and Omaha shot 49 percent from the field despite going 1 for 10 from 3-point range. Denver (10-10, 2-5) attempted 25 from long distance, making just five.

C.J. Bobbitt had 17 points and Joe Rosga added 12 for Denver. The Pioneers never led after the early moments and trailed 28-21 at the half. They closed the deficit to 41-37 but got no closer from there.
