Even while adjusting to another new starting point guard, Missouri hasn't been challenged much at home this season, especially in its past four games there.

That could change with a visit from Old Dominion.

The 10th-ranked Tigers will try to extend their season-high win streak to eight while denying the Monarchs a fifth straight victory Thursday night.

Missouri (12-1) has won its eight home games this season by an average of 24.7 points and by 30.7 per contest in its four since edging Vanderbilt in overtime Dec. 8.

The Tigers' run at Mizzou Arena, where they also are riding a 55-game non-conference win streak, has come while playing with their third different starting point guard. Junior Matt Pressey took over when younger brother, Phil, suffered a broken right ring finger in practice Dec. 19.

Phil Pressey, a highly touted freshman, was put into the starting lineup when Michael Dixon was suspended for two games for an unspecified violation of team rules. Dixon has come off the bench in the past two wins.

After scoring four points in a victory over Illinois on Dec. 22, Matt Pressey had a career-high 18 in the Tigers' 97-61 rout of Northern Illinois on Monday night.

"Matt continues to play the game the right way," coach Mike Anderson said. "It just takes a little while to get his feel with a new team, a new group of guys. And he's comfortable now, and guys are comfortable playing with him."

Marcus Denmon led the Tigers with 24 points on 9-of-11 shooting. Over the past 10 games, he's averaged 18.8 points while shooting 54.2 percent and making 29 of 58 attempts from 3-point range.

Missouri had at least five players score in double figures for the third straight game and might need that balance against Old Dominion (9-2), which is allowing 60.5 points per game.

The Monarchs, who received six votes in the latest AP poll, have four starters back from a squad that upset Notre Dame in the opening round of the NCAA tournament.

They've used that experience to keep their win streak going.

After pulling away late against Dayton on Dec. 11, Old Dominion had a game-ending 11-3 run last Thursday in a 63-54 win over Presbyterian - a team Missouri defeated 70-55 at home Dec. 11.

The Tigers held off Old Dominion 66-61 in last season's South Padre Island Invitational as they forced 24 turnovers. Missouri shot 37.0 percent, and Kim English was one of only two Tigers in double figures with 11 points.

Junior Kent Bazemore and senior Frank Hassell combined for just 10 points in 46 minutes in that defeat, though they are currently the Monarchs' top scorers with 13.1 and 12.4 points per game, respectively. Hassell also averages a team-best 9.7 rebounds.

Old Dominion's only two wins in 12 games against ranked teams during Blaine Taylor's 10 seasons as coach both came against Georgetown, though the Monarchs lost 62-59 to the then-No. 20 Hoyas to open this season.

The Tigers, who lead the series 3-0, suffered their only loss of the season to Georgetown in overtime Nov. 30.
