Ohio edges Buffalo 73-70, ties for 2nd in MAC East

BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) Antonio Campbell scored back-to-back baskets off his own rebounds in the final 1:03, lifting Ohio past Buffalo 73-70 on Saturday afternoon.

Maurice Ndour and Nick Kellogg each scored 17 points as the Bobcats (18-7, 8-4 Mid-American) overcame a 10-point deficit in the final 10 minutes and forced their way into a second-place tie with Buffalo (14-8, 8-4) in the conference's east division.

Campbell scored all six of his points off his own rebounds in the final 2:46, each time giving Ohio a slim lead. Buffalo went up 70-69 on a Javon McCrea dunk with 2:23 left. But the Bulls missed two field goals and a free throw the rest of the way while Campbell scored the final four points.

McCrea scored 18 and had five steals for Buffalo in a game that saw 10 ties and 12 lead changes. Shannon Evans added 13 points.
