Ogbueze leads Charlotte over North Carolina A&T 77-61

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (AP) Braxton Ogbueze scored 18 points, including four 3-pointers, to lead Charlotte to a 77-61 win over North Carolina A&T on Wednesday.

Mike Thorne Jr. and Keyshawn Woods scored 12 apiece for the 49ers (10-12). Thorne scored all of his points in the second half as Charlotte outscored the Aggies 46-28.

Ogbueze went 7 of 8 from the field and Charlotte converted 30 of 59 field goals (50.8 percent) as a team. Pierria Henry had five assists and became Charlotte's all-time assists leader with 517.

Bruce Beckford had 16 points and five rebounds, Arturs Bremers added 12 points, including four 3s and Steven Burrough pitched in 10 points for the Aggies (6-18).

Down three at the half, Charlotte gained a four-point lead midway through the second half, then mounted a 19-4 run putting the 49ers up 19. The lead climbed to as many as 23 in the waning minutes.
