The Golden Grizzlies (1-2), champions of the Summit League the past two seasons, had lost their first two games against SEC opponents Alabama and Arkansas.
The loss dropped the Tigers to 0-4.
Reggie Hamilton added 12 points for Oakland, which is 51-5 against teams that are not from the six BCS conferences over the past two-plus seasons.
The Golden Grizzlies trailed early but took control of the game over the final 11 minutes of the first half by outscoring the Tigers 26-10 and taking a 33-19 lead. They led by as many as 36 points in the second half.
