SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) Notre Dame leading scorer Demetrius Jackson will miss Thursday's game at Syracuse with an injured right hamstring.
Coach Mike Brey said Monday that Jackson will travel with the 25th-ranked Irish (14-5, 5-2 Atlantic Coast Conference) but won't play against the Orange (13-8, 3-5). Brey says Jackson also may miss Sunday's game against Wake Forest (10-9, 1-6). Brey says hamstring injuries can be tricky and he doesn't want to bring Jackson back too quickly.
Jackson sustained the injury in the opening minutes of a 76-49 victory over Boston College on Saturday. He is 10th in the ACC in scoring at 16.6 points and tied for second in assists at 5.0 per game.

Brey says an MRI on Monday showed no further damage to the hamstring.
