Luke Harangody had 31 points and 12 rebounds and Notre Dame held St. John's to a season-low 29 percent shooting Friday night to beat the Red Storm 74-55. The Irish (17-13, 8-10 Big East), picked by coaches in the preseason to finish fourth in the league, ended the season in 10th. St. John's (15-16, 6-12), won't know until after Saturday's games are complete what its seed will be for the Big East tournament. They can't finish any lower than 13th. Notre Dame took control in the first half when Harangody scored nine points during a 17-6 run, opening a 30-16 lead when he sank a 3. Notre Dame led 36-24 at intermission and led by as many as 21 in the second half. Justin Burrell led St. John's with 17 points.
