Northwestern State beats Southeastern Louisiana 88-73

HAMMOND, La. (AP) Zeek Woodley made all 11 of his free throws and scored 28 points and Jalan West added 23 to lead Northwestern State to its third straight win Saturday night, 88-73 over Southeastern Louisiana.

Marvin Frazier scored 11 points for the Demons (11-9, 6-3 Southland), who hit 26 of 28 free-throw attempts.

Woodley posted his 18th game of 20 more points in his career while West had his 21st. West scored 14 points and Woodley 11 in the first half when the Demons shot 51.5 percent in taking a 45-33 lead. The Demons had their biggest lead of 18 points with 15:44 remaining in the game.

DeVonte Upson tied his career high with 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for his fifth double-double this season for the Lions (5-15, 2-5), who have lost three in a row. Zay Jackson added 17 points and Joshua Filmore 10.
