Will Pratt scored 19 points and Devon Baker added 13 as Northwestern State rolled past Lamar 79-69 on Wednesday night.
The Demons (12-9, 4-2 Southland) went ahead on a jumper by Pratt early in the first half and never looked back. They led by as many as 12 points late in the game.
Shamir Davis added 10 points for the Demons, who shot 38.2 percent from the field.
Tremell Adams led the Cardinals (9-10, 3-2) with 18 points. Anthony Miles grabbed a double-double for Lamar, scoring 16 points and pulling down 10 rebounds, while Devon Lamb snagged 14 rebounds.

Lamar shot just 21.7 percent from the field but outrebounded the Demons 65-53.
