Northeastern rallies to beat James Madison 65-59

HARRISONBURG, Va. (AP) Quincy Ford scored 16 of his 19 points in the second half and Northeastern overcame a 10-point second-half deficit to beat James Madison 65-59 on Thursday night.

Scott Eatherton finished with 13 points and 13 rebounds and David Walker added 12, including three 3-pointers, for Northeastern (10-5, 2-1 Colonial Athletic Association).

James Madison made 12 of 22 (54.5 percent) field goals in the first half, and limited the Huskies to just 8-of-21 (38.1 percent) shooting, and led 30-21 at the break. Northeastern tied its season low for points in a half.

A free throw by Ron Curry pushed the James Madison (9-7, 2-1) lead to 33-23 about 2 minutes into the second, but a 10-1 run by the Huskies cut their deficit to one before Ford scored seven points during a 13-0 run which made it 55-43 with 4:17 left and Northeastern held on from there.

Winston Grays led James Madison with 15 points.
