BOSTON (AP) David Walker scored a career-high 23 points and Northeastern beat Boston University 71-65 on Sunday in a season opener.

Quincy Ford added 11 points for the Huskies, who have won four of their last five meetings with their crosstown rivals. Scott Eatherton grabbed 10 rebounds.
