Chaisson Allen tied a career high with 26 points and Jonathan Lee set one with 23 to lead Northeastern over Virginia Commonwealth 91-80 on Wednesday night.

VCU led 43-36 at halftime after shooting 82.4 percent from the field in the first half (14 of 17). The Rams finished shooting 51 percent (25 of 49) after going 0 for 8 from 3-point range in the second half.

The Huskies, who shot 58.1 percent for the game (26 of 62), took their first lead of the second half, 51-50, on Allen's 3 with 13:47 to play, and only trailed once more, 18 seconds later.
