Kyle O'Quinn scored 26 points, grabbed 13 rebounds and blocked three shots to lead Norfolk State to its third straight victory, 84-61 over South Carolina State on Monday night.

O'Quinn made 11 of 15 shots from the field for the Spartans (5-13, 3-3 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), including the first three baskets of the game. He had 19 of his points in the first half, when Norfolk State took a 44-26 lead.

Norfolk State outshot the Bulldogs 50 percent (18 of 36) to 36 percent (9 of 25) in the opening 20 minutes.

The Spartans never led by fewer than 13 points in the second half as the Bulldogs (5-14, 1-5) lost their fifth consecutive game.

Rob Hampton contributed 15 points for Norfolk State.

Presano Bell scored 16 points to lead South Carolina State, while Brandon Riley had 13 and Tyvon Williams 12.
