No. 1 Wisconsin opens NCAA tourney against Coastal Carolina

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) Wisconsin earned the first No. 1 seed in program history and will face No. 16 Coastal Carolina on Friday in Omaha, Nebraska, to open its NCAA Tournament run.
Led by Frank Kaminsky and Nigel Hayes, the Badgers (31-3) outscored Michigan State 11-0 in overtime for an 80-69 victory in the Big Ten Tournament title game. They also won the regular-season conference championship.
The Badgers lost to Kentucky in the Final Four last year.
The Chanticleers (24-9) are led by Elijah Wilson and won their second straight Big South Conference championship under coach Cliff Ellis. As a 16 seed last year, the Chanticleers went toe-to-toe in a 70-59 loss to No. 1 seed Virginia.
