NJIT 94, Longwood 51
Ryan Woods and Chris Flores each made four 3-pointers and New Jersey Institute of Technology used the long ball to rout Longwood 94-51 on Saturday.
Five of the 13 Highlanders who scored made at least three 3-pointers, and NJIT (12-16) tied the third-highest Division I total this season with 18.
The Highlanders made 50 percent from long range (18 of 36). They shot 12 of 20 from behind the arc in the first half, and led 55-28 at the break.
Isaiah Wilkerson scored 17 points, going 3 of 4 from 3-point range, Woods added 16 points and Flores 15. P.J. Miller chipped in 10 points for NJIT, which snapped a three-game losing streak.
The Highlanders scored 23 fast-break points, to Longwood's zero.
The Lancers were outrebounded 43-35 and shot just 29 percent from the field (18 of 62).
Antwan Carter led Longwood (10-19) with 18 points, and Tristan Carey 16.
