Niagara 65, Bowling Green 61

Marvin Jordan scored 17 points and Niagara held off Bowling Green 65-61 in the Legends Classic on Friday.

The Purple Eagles (2-2) overcame a 32-30 halftime deficit while primarily using seven players - plus one who played only 3 minutes - to win their second straight game.

The game was tied 11 times, including 44-44 with 10:47 to go. Niagara then went on an 8-0 run, capped by dunks by Skylar Jones and Kashief Edwards, who finished with 15 points.

The Falcons (1-4) closed to 62-61 on a three-point play by A'uston Calhoun with 25 seconds to go. Six seconds later, Jordan made two free throws, then Luke Kraus missed a 3-pointer for Bowling Green, which was 3 of 19 from long range.

Kevon Moore clinched it with a foul shot with 4 seconds left.

Dee Brown had 12 points and Cameron Black added 10 points and nine boards for the Falcons, who had a 41-32 rebounding edge.
