New Mexico State crushed Texas-Rio Grande Valley 92-68

LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) Pascal Siakam scored 24 points with 16 rebounds and New Mexico State crushed Texas-Rio Grande Valley 92-68 on Saturday night.

Siakam was 12 of 16 from the field as the Aggies (14-8, 6-1 Western Athletic Conference) shot over 58 percent, including 10 of 22 from beyond the arc. Jalyn Pennie scored 20 points and Matt Taylor had 12 points, while Ian Baker added 11 points, six boards and five assists. New Mexico State dominated the boards, 39-26, and had 27 assists on 39 made baskets.

The Vaqueros (6-16, 2-5) were paced by Shaquille Hines, who made five 3-pointers and finished with 30 points, a career high. Antonio Green had 15 points and six boards.

New Mexico State ran out to a 17-8 lead, scored the last nine points before intermission and led 48-26 at the break.

The lead eclipsed 30 points on Siakam's tip-in with 9:01 to go.
