Gordo Castillo scored 20 points to lead New Mexico State past Louisiana-Lafayette 82-76 on Tuesday night.

Hernst Laroche scored 19 and Christian Kabongo 17 for the Aggies (6-7), who won their fourth straight.

Bryant Mbamalu led the Ragin' Cajuns with 16 points, and Josh Brown and Courtney Wallace each scored 10.

Louisiana-Lafayette (2-9) outrebounded the Aggies 48-23 and 23-10 on the offensive glass.

New Mexico State outscored Louisiana-Lafayette 13-6 in the last 2:46 as the Ragin' Cajuns went without a basket for the last 4:51, relying on nine free throws.

There were seven lead changes in the last 10:49, with the Aggies taking the lead for good on a Castillo 3-pointer off a Kabongo assist that put them up 76-73 with 1:39 to play.

New Mexico State scored 33 points off 23 turnovers and was 20 of 27 (74.1 percent) from the free throw line.
