Nance, Grabau spark Wyoming past Montana State 70-61

LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) Larry Nance Jr. scored 21 points and Riley Grabau had eight of his 14 in a game-changing run to lead Wyoming to a 70-61 win over Montana State on Sunday.

The Cowboys (9-2) were trailing 49-45 when Nance scored and Grabau followed with two free throws on the next possession to tie the game with 8 minutes left. Grabau then turned a turnover into a 3-pointer.

After the Bobcats (3-6) tied it, Grabau had a three-point play and Nance made two free throws to make it 58-53 with 5:25 left. From there, Wyoming made 8 of 10 free throws to pull away.

Derek Cook added 15 points for Wyoming, which shot 56.8 percent from the field (21-37) and 26 of 34 from the foul line.

Marcus Colbert had 18 points and Terrell Brown 14 for Montana State, which was just 9 of 14 from the foul line.
