Chris Flores scored 28 points and New Jersey Tech defeated Houston Baptist 72-66 on Thursday night.
Flores sank four 3-pointers to pace 39.1 percent 3-point shooting by the Highlanders (12-12, 6-1 Great West Conference), who won their fifth game in a row. Isaiah Wilkerson added 16 points.
Andrew Gonzalez scored 29 points but missed eight 3-pointers and committed eight turnovers for the Huskies (3-22, 2-7), whose losing streak reached four. Terry Bembry contributed 10 points.
The Highlanders outscored the Huskies 14-3 over the last 3:35.
