Northern Iowa senior center Jordan Eglseder has been suspended for three games after being arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated.

Coach Ben Jacobson announced the suspension in a statement Sunday night.

Eglseder, the Panthers second-leading scorer at 12.2 points per game, was arrested early Sunday. His arrest came just hours after the 19th-ranked Panthers lost at Bradley 68-59 on Saturday to snap a six-game winning streak.

Eglseder says in a statement that he made a regretful decision and apologized to his teammates, fellow students, fans and the university.
