N.C.-Wilmington 70, Northeastern 62

Keith Rendleman scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead North Carolina Wilmington over Northeastern 70-62 on Wednesday night.

Adam Smith scored 19 points and K.K. Simmons added 18 for the Seahawks, who won their third straight.

Simmons was 4 of 6 from 3-point range, making all but two of UNC Wilmington's long-distance shots. The Seahawks (6-7, 2-1 Colonial Athletic Association) made 42.9 percent from long range (6 of 14), and connected on 41.7 percent of their shots overall (20 of 48).

Northeastern broke a 30-30 tie at halftime, outscoring the Huskies 40-32 in the second half.

Jonathan Lee led Northeastern (5-8, 1-2) with 17 points. Quincy Ford chipped in 13 points, Joel Smith 12 and Reggie Spencer 10 for the Huskies, who snapped a two-game winning streak. Northeastern had held three of its last four opponents to 56 or fewer points.
