N.C.-Asheville 77, Charleston Southern 69

Matt Dickey scored 14 points and Jason Lane added 13 - including two clutch baskets late - as North Carolina-Asheville held on to defeat Charleston Southern 77-69 Saturday.

UNC-Asheville (10-9, 5-4 Big South Conference) led by 13 with 7:06 left before the Buccaneers cut it to two. Jamarco Warren, who led Charleston Southern (11-10, 5-4) with 22 points, hit a 3-pointer with 1:26 left to make it 71-69.

But Lane answered with a dunk 13 seconds later and outraced the Buccaneers to the other end of the floor for a layup with 38 seconds left, making it 75-69.

Warren tried to cut the lead in half with a 3-pointer, but missed. Lane assisted John Williams for a layup with 21 seconds, capping the scoring and sealing the Bulldogs' fourth win in the last five games.

Kelvin Martin added 16 points for Charleston Southern, which saw its three-game winning streak end.
