Lamar Trice scored 22 points to lead Mount St. Mary's (Md.) over St. Francis (N.Y.) 70-61 on Saturday.

Trice, averaging 18.2 points per game in the Mountaineers' previous five Northeast Conference games, was 7 of 12 from the field, including 2 of 3 from 3-point range.

Danny Thompson scored 16 points off the bench and Raven Barber added 11 points for Mount St. Mary's (5-14, 3-3), which had 10 players score.

The Mountaineers led 17-14 with 11:20 left in the first half, and scored 13 straight. Tayvon Jackson capped the run for a 30-14 lead on a jump shot with 7:09 left until halftime.

Mount St. Mary's scored 19 points off 11 St. Francis turnovers and shot 58.1 percent from the field (25 of 43).

Dre Calloway led the Terriers (8-9, 3-3) with 15 points. Ricky Cadell and Akeem Bennett added 14 points each for St. Francis, which lost its third straight.
