Danny Thompson and Julian Norfleet each scored 14 points as Mount St. Mary's defeated Fairleigh-Dickinson 66-45 on Saturday.

The Mountaineers had their second-best shooting game of the season making 49.1 percent (26 of 53) from the field. Meanwhile, the Knights made only 29.3 percent (17 of 58). Fairleigh-Dickinson hit only 2 of 15 3-pointers and is 3 of 23 over the past three games.

Leading 7-5 early in the game, Mount St. Mary's broke open the game with a 23-5 run to lead 30-10 with 7:24 remaining in the half.

Josh Castellanos added 11 and Kelvin Parker had 10 for the Mountaineers (3-12, 1-3 Northeast Conference), who have won six in a row in the series.

George Goode scored 18 points and Briahn Smith added 12 for Fairleigh-Dickinson (1-13, 0-4), who have lost 11 straight, all by double digits, and are off to their worst conference start.
