Aric Brooks scored 19 points and Justin Black 17 as Morgan State pulled away late for a 91-80 victory over Coppin State on Wednesday night after squandering a 21-point first-half lead.

After Coppin State took its last lead of the game, 66-65 on a 3-pointer by Logan Wiens with 10:22 remaining, the Bears (7-18, 4-9 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) took control with a 12-3 run that put them ahead 77-69 with 5:59 left.

Jeremy Canty finished the run with two 3-pointers and had 12 points overall.

Morgan State led 38-17 with 8:38 to play in the first half, but the Eagles (13-14, 8-6) finished the half strong, taking a 46-45 lead on a 3-pointer by Michael Harper as time ran out.

Ian Chiles added 12 points and Kevin Thompson had 11 rebounds for Morgan State.

Tony Gallo scored 21 points and Harper and Akeem Ellis scored 14 each for Coppin State.
