DeWayne Jackson scored 14 points and had four steals to lead Morgan State over Loyola Marymount 69-45 on Wednesday night.

The Bears (2-7) led 20-17 with 6 minutes left in the first half, and ended the period on a 13-5 run. Larry Bastfield's 3-pointer with 1 second left gave the Bears a 33-22 lead at halftime. The Lions wouldn't get any closer than seven the rest of the way.

It was the second straight win for Morgan State after losing the season's first seven.

Morgan State forced Loyola Marymount (6-6) into 11 of its 18 turnovers in the first half. Morgan State scored 25 points off those 18 turnovers. The Bears also set a season high of five 3-pointers, before halftime.

Bastfield finished with 13 points, Kevin Thompson 12 and Ameer Ali 10 for the Bears.

C.J. Blackwell was the only Lions player in double figures with 10 points.
