Montana's 10-2 run closes out Seattle U 66-62

SEATTLE (AP) Montana closed with a 10-2 run that gave the Grizzlies a 66-62 win over Seattle University in the nightcap of the Marv Harshman Classic at Key Arena Sunday night.

The event honors the memory of Harshman, who won 635 games while coaching for three different Washington schools, including his final position at UW (1971-85).

Washington won the first game, 76-69, over Pacific, to run its record to 3-0.

With the Redhawks (1-2) leading 60-56 with under three minutes to play, the Grizzlies' began a comeback highlighted by Brandon Gfeller's 3-pointer with 2:09 left. That gave the Griz a 61-60 lead that they wouldn't relinquish.

Martin Breunig and Gfeller led the Griz (1-2) with 15 apiece. Mario Dunn added 13.

Redhawks' Isiah Umipig led all scorers with 17. Jarell Flora had 10.

Seattle Univerisity didn't help itself in the second half, making just six of 12 free throws.
