Erik Rush scored 16 points and Bobby Howard added 15 points and 12 rebounds as Montana State pulled away late for a 74-65 victory over Portland State on Thursday night.
The Bobcats (10-7, 4-1 Big Sky) were up by three points midway through the second half when Rush and Howard scored four apiece as part of the team's 10-0 run to pull safely ahead.
Shawn Reid scored 15 points, making five of the Bobcats' eight 3-pointers.
Chris Harriel led Vikings (9-7, 2-2) with 17 points and eight rebounds.

Charles Odum added 14 points for Portland State, which was outrebounded 42-33.
